Healthfirst NJ President Terry Byrd Throws First Pitch at Trenton Thunder Game
On July 31, Terry Byrd, Healthfirst NJ President, threw out the first pitch at the Trenton Thunder game at Waterfront Park. The celebratory pitch was in honor of Healthfirst NJ’s exclusive sponsorship of the 2011 Trenton Thunder Boomers Kids Club. The Trenton Thunder Boomer’s Kids Club, a rewards and activities group managed by the Trenton Thunder Minor League Baseball team, is open to all children 12 and under for free, thanks to Healthfirst NJ support. Participating kids get free admission to Sunday home games and access to special pre- and post-game activities. This season, the Kids Club membership exceeds 1,700 members.
Terry also participated in an interview on Thunder Radio Network, discussing the Healthfirst NJ mission of promoting quality healthcare options within the community. During the game, Healthfirst NJ staff was on-site to help the Thunder distribute co-branded Kids Club T-shirts.
