Healthfirst NJ and the Newark Bears Team up to Give Back to the Community

NEWARK, NJ, September 8, 2010- - Healthfirst NJ has partnered as a key sponsor with the Newark Bears to develop fun and exciting community programs for local families and seniors. From youth clinics to theme games at the stadium, Healthfirst NJ and the Bears are enjoying a great summer in Newark.
The Bears will hold eight (8) free one-hour baseball clinics for local children ranging from ages eight (8) to 16 years old. Kids who participate in this one-of-a-kind opportunity will learn basic baseball skills from the team as well as receive one (1) free ticket to enjoy a home game that same day. The clinics which began on May 23 and will run until September 12, 2010, and will be held on select Sundays throughout the summer at the Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium in Newark, NJ.

In its efforts to continue giving back to the community, Healthfirst NJ also sponsored the East Orange Little League Team, the Haires, for the 2010 season. Lastly, Healthfirst NJ will also participate in the Silver Sluggers program held at the stadium which encourages seniors 55 and older to attend select midweek daytime games and receive discounted group ticket rates. To add to the excitement, seniors will also get a chance to participate in group activities.
