How to Pay Your NJ FamilyCare Bill
If you need to pay your NJ FamilyCare bill, please follow these instructions to pay your bill by mail:
- Your premium (monthly payment) must be paid directly to the NJ State Health Benefits Coordinator (HBC), not Healthfirst NJ.
- You will get a letter from the HBC, telling you the amount of your premium. Once you are told the amount of your premium, you must pay it immediately. Your NJ FamilyCare health plan will not start until the HBC receives your first payment.
- Once your NJ FamilyCare plan starts, you will be billed monthly. Payments must be paid in full and on time to keep your health coverage.
- If you have questions or can no longer afford to pay your premium, please call the HBC at 1-800-701-0710. We may be able to change your premium payment, based on any changes to your family size or income.
