Healthfirst NJ members can get high quality dental care through our partner DentaQuest, as well as a few individual dentists who are experts in special dental services. |
What dental services are covered by Healthfirst NJ?
The following dental services are covered by your plan or program:
- Dentist checkups
- Teeth cleaning
- X-rays
- Cavity fillings
- Fluoride treatments
- And many more
Do I need a referral from my Primary Doctor to see a dentist?
No. You do not need a referral to see a dentist. Once you choose a Healthfirst NJ dentist, just call his or her office to make an appointment.
Which dentists can I see?
DentaQuest uses an “open network.” This means you can select and visit any dentist that takes Healthfirst NJ or DentaQuest.
When you visit your dentist, you should show your Healthfirst NJ ID card. You will not receive a separate dental card.
