| NJ FamilyCare |
| The NJ FamilyCare program is a federal and state-funded health insurance program created to help New Jersey's uninsured children and certain low-income parents and guardians obtain affordable health coverage. It is not a welfare program. Healthfirst NJ offers the NJ FamilyCare program to eligible New Jersey families residing in Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex and Union counties who cannot afford to pay the high cost of private health insurance.
