Healthfirst NJ Partners with Reach Out and Read
On October 29, Healthfirst NJ President, Terence Byrd read to several local children at the kick-off event supporting the launch of the partnership between Reach Out and Read NJ and Healthfirst NJ. Healthfirst NJ’s contribution to Reach Out and Read NJ will enable the donation of over 20,000 children’s books to various New Jersey physicians with offices located in low-income communities. The participating physicians will provide these books to children 6 months to 5 years of age during their scheduled well-child visits. All children at the reading, held at North Hudson Community Action, received free books to take home with them.
